Pastor Alberta Landry was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. She has been married to Dr. Jim Landry for 24 years. They have five children and eleven grandchildren. She has been in church all her life. Baptized at the age of seven under the leadership of Pastor Moses at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas. At the age of thirteen personally asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord of her life. But she truly committed to know Him and dedicate her life to the Lord Jesus in 1981. She received the infilling of the Holy Spirit in 1982 with the evidence of speaking in tongues. In 1988 she was licensed and ordained under the leadership of Pastor Petty of San Antonio, TX. In 1983 through 1987 she attended Bethlehem Holy Temple Church in Silsbee, TX and submitted as an elder to the leadership of Pastors Albert B. and Gladys Collins. In 1991 she was licensed by Pastor Harlan Deem Christ Centers Beaumont, Texas under the Apostleship of Norman Parish, Continental Ministry Crusade, Inc., Guatemala, Central America.
Pastor Alberta is a Holy Ghost filled minister of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. She has acquired her Associates and Bachelors Degrees in Theology from the Christian Church of Port Arthur Theology School (Drs. Paul and Brenda Queen-Chancellors) which is in affiliation with The Lord's International Outreach School of Theology (Drs. Russell and Leona Benoit-Chancellors). Pastor Alberta Landry has been and is presently active in the Church: In the choir, usher board, missions and assistant clerk, assistant secretary, treasurer, as well as co-pastor and teacher. She loves giving and is active with various food and clothing drives for the homeless, women, children and senior citizens; she loves house-to-house bible study and prayer groups. She is a former speaker for the Women’s Senior Citizen Organization Workshops and an Honorary Aunt with several children from Buckner’s Children Home. Spiritual mother too many beautiful women of God in several states. She coordinates visits to nursing homes in Beaumont and Silsbee, TX, fellowships and Bible study at area Beaumont, TX Senior Citizens Assisted Living Centers and Housing Apartment Complexes. She is or has been in partnership with Feed the Children Organization, the Prison Fellowship Organization, COPE (Coalition of Prison Evangelists), TAX (Texas Association of X –Offenders) Prison Ministry, Marilyn Hickey Ministries, Disabled Veterans Association, an intercessory prayer partner with Benny Hinn Ministries, Gospel for Asia Ministries, Voice of the Martyrs International Ministries, A Call to Character Ministries, Women of Hope and several other ministries in the Triangle area. She is the coordinator and founder for the Sunday morning services at the Abused Women and Children’s Shelter, where Elder Carolyn Caldwell and she are the teachers. She is the Treasurer, event coordinator and an intercessor for the International Spiritual Warfare Team and it’s yearly “Iron Sharpens Iron” Conference.
Both Pastors Dr. Jim and Alberta Landry have ministered nationally and internationally. They have hosted and taught at seminars, workshops and conferences on Spiritual Warfare, Healing, Abuse, Getting Free and Staying Free and other subjects in many cities in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, New York, Rhode Isalnd, Kentucky, and other states as well as the West Indies and England. Presently we are moving into Mentoring Spiritual Leadership with Pastors in India, Nigeria, Guatemala, Philippines and England.
She has hosted several Conferences for women called “Tea Time With Jesus.” She is co-Host of “Friday night live” sessions at Christ Outreach Discipleship Ministries in Beaumont, Texas. She is a former counselor/teacher with Texas Association of X-Offenders (TAX) led by Pastor Silvann Broussard and the late Pastor Felix Broussard at Gist and Leblanc Prison units in the Beaumont, TX area.
Pastor Bert (as she is better known) is Founder & coordinator of HOTT (Hands Out To Touch) Ministry to the homeless; Founder, President & Asst. Treasurer of WAGP Christian Women Club; she was co-host with her husband Pastor Jim over the Child Abuse Awareness Seminars in Beaumont, Silsbee and Jasper, TX; she began the Newsletter: “Neighbor To Neighbor” Words of Encouragement for the Christian Outreach Ministries Silsbee, Texas and Newsletter for women: “Women of Prayer, Praise & Power”; Treasurer & Asst-Secretary of The International Spiritual Warfare Team; past members with ISDM (International Society of Deliverance Ministers); recently began an online Prayer Circle: “Deliverance, Healing and Unity.” She oversees the Women ministry of Christ Outreach Ministries, L.O.V.& E. (Ladies Of Valor & Excellence).
She desires to start the program “A.R.M.” of the Lord (After Release Ministries) a vision to begin for former inmates and “Y.Y.C.L.” (Yes You Can Learn) a vision to begin for educating and tutoring both the young and old. Her other studies have included the Derek Prince Ministries Bible Foundation Course (Forty week course); the Marilyn Hickey Ministries Home Bible Study Classes; the Grace Ministries Home Bible Study Classes; online Bible Study Classes with Blue Letter Bible Ministries and presently classes for a Master of Biblical Counseling and for a Doctor of Biblical Counseling.
Pastor Alberta has complied and printed: The Spiritual Warfare Prayer Booklet. Her hope is that the Lord God would give other booklets and books to her in the near future as the Spirit of God leads.
In her own words, “I have a passion for the Lord and His Word. I love God and I love the people of God. However, above everything that is listed, the most important thing to me is my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing that I am a child of the King will always be first in my life.”
